Myroslava Kumka PhD

Professional summary

Dr. Kumka received her medical degree from the State Medical University, Chernivtsi, Ukraine and went on to earn her PhD in from the same institute. She was the assistant professor of anatomy, State Medical University before accepting the position as assistant professor of anatomy at CMCC in 2000. In 2004, she received the William D. Peek Memorial Award for Excellence in teaching.

Dr. Kumka is widely published in journals worldwide and a member of American Association of Anatomists. Her research interests include:

  • Morphological variations of the obturator nerve in humans
  • Histomorphological structure of the vertebral artery in humans
  • Histomorphogenesis of the human coronary arteries during the prenatal and postnatal ontogenesis
  • Prenatal morphogenesis of the reproductive system in humans
